China General Interest
A wide demographic of NZCTA Southern attendees met in Christchurch for another monthly meeting in which the guest speaker was Dr Chu Yanli, Vice Consul-General for the Consulate–General of the People’s Republic of China in Christchurch. Dr Chu shared the importance of the establishment of a Consulate in Christchurch and the vision covering aspects such as the advancement of relationships between New Zealand and China but especially in relation to Christchurch and the South Island for trade, cultural understanding and learning. The attendees were appreciative of the opportunity to hear Dr Chu and other members from the Consulate speak and their openness to answer questions during the Q & A session.
The next workshop guest speaker is Dr John Penno CEO of Synlait and winner of the supreme award at the recent NZCTA business awards. The workshop will be held on Monday 29th July.
